Meanings
Definitions from the Pastor Chris Digital Glossary, supplied to the translator with the text.
- Adoption
- The placing/positioning as a son (not in terms of a relationship with a father, but a position of authority that belongs to a son).
- Aion
- 1. The happenings of your world as they affect you; things that happen in your world. 2. The structure and administration of your life; how things go with you from day to day, including how they affect your hopes and aspirations. 3. The world's system with respect to socio-economic structures and environmental management of a period in human history, including its arts and sciences.
- Altar
- 1. A place or structure that is designated for receiving gifts or sacrifices for a deity. 2. A place where you meet God for a divine appearance or a release of His Word.
- Attitude
- The disposition to act in ways determined by the mental processes of our feelings, emotions, beliefs or reasoning.
- Authority
- Delegated power.
- Believe
- To accept that something is real. To endorse the existence of something.
- Benediction
- An invocation of blessing in prayer.
- Bless
- 1. To cause to prosper. 2. To favour. 3. To evoke successful outcomes. 4. To infuse with abilities.
- Christianity
- 1. The demonstration and display of the virtues and excellences and perfections of Christ in the earth. 2. The partaking of the divine nature. 3. Divinity at work in humanity. 4. The practice of the heavenly on earth. 5. The human life supplanted by the Divine life. 6. A relationship with the living Christ in today's world. 7. The pulsating life of Christ in a man. 8. The unveiling of Christ in us. 9. The outworking of the Word of God in a human person. 10. The revelation of the divine through the human life. 11. The manifestation of God's kingdom through a human vessel. 12. Righteousness at work in a human being. 13. The revelation of God's righteousness.
- Compassion
- A great feeling of emotion that's favourable towards someone.
- Confession
- 1. Speaking the same thing in consent with God. 2. Responding to God's Word in agreement with Him. 3. Confession of the Word brings us into the blessings of salvation.
- Conscience
- The voice of your human spirit.
- Cosmos
- The world and its physical arrangement and all the beauty of the world and everything in it. Sometimes it also includes the people, so it sometimes refers to the world of things and people.
- Courage
- 1. The ability and the will to do what is right or necessary even when you are faced with adversity. 2. The ability and will to stand up for what is right, in spite of opposition.
- Culture
- 1. The totality of socially transmitted behavior patterns, arts, beliefs, institutions and all other products of human work and thought. 2. The predominating attitude and behavior pattern that characterizes the functioning of a group or organization. 3. The development of the intellect through training or education and the enlightenment resulting from such training or education.
- Darkness
- 1. All that is blind and ignorant. 2. All that is destructive. 3. Everything that makes a lie. 4. Everything that is against the purposes of God. 5. Everything that is negative to you. 6. Evil powers and all their works.
- Death
- 1. The expulsion or removal of God's presence or Spirit and His influence from any creation. 2. The corruption of a creation and the dissolution and eventual separation into its original components.
- Destine
- To appoint ahead of time what is going to happen.
- Digital Evangelism
- Evangelical efforts through the use of applications and devices operated by the fingers.
- Diligence
- 1. Conscientiousness in paying proper attention to a task, giving the degree of care required in a particular situation. 2. The exercise of carefulness, persistence and determination in any endeavour to achieve a determined goal.
- Discerning of spirits
- Gift of the Spirit: distinguishing or recognition of different spirits, sometimes through the inward witness or through visions.
- Discipleship
- Going beyond ourselves to guide a new, young, even uncommitted, straying, rebellious believer into a committed and growing Christian life.
- Dispensation
- 1. The management of affairs. 2. The administration of affairs.
- Economy
- The efficient use of resources in a system of production, distribution, consumption and wealth creation.
- Eido
- To notice, observe, or become aware; it's knowledge with awareness.
- Epignosis
- This is the highest kind of knowledge. It is the knowledge that brings the knower into a relationship with that which is known.
- Eternal Life
- It is the life and nature of God; the organic and existential attribute of deity. That is to say that it is an actual life of a living thing and it is an experienced life; a life that the owner is aware of and conscious that they have it. Eternal life can therefore be imparted to or infused into a living or dead organism; it will change the character of that organism.
- Excellence
- 1. Surpassing others. 2. The righteousness of God at work in you. 3. Extraordinary discretion - discretion beyond the ordinary. 4. Having an excellent perception - the ability to see much at the same time. 5. Greatness. 6. Extreme beauty. 7. Being glorious.
- Faith
- 1. The substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1 KJV). 2. The response of the human spirit to the Word of God. 3. The corresponding action to what you believe. 4. Accepting what God says is, is; what God says was, was; and what God says will be, will be. 5. Perceiving as real fact, what is not revealed to the senses.
- Faithfulness
- 1. Commitment with purpose of positive distinction. 2. Being committed to a cause, person or message in such a way as to be dependable. 3. Steadfast in attention or allegiance; this refers to loyalty. 4. Firm in adherence to promises or in observance of duty; this refers to being conscientious. 5. True to the facts, to a standard or to an original.
- Fear
- 1. Trusting in the ability of something you don't want to be in the presence of, or in the power of it. 2. Trusting in the ability of your adversary.
- Fellowship
- 1. Sharing our faith, joys, challenges, burdens, God's word, praying together, striving together for a common purpose. 2. Participating in activities of mutual benefit. 3. Communication for mutual joy. 4. Oneness, family relationship, unity of spirits or joint partnership.
- Fight of Faith
- The conflict between our earthly transient temporal circumstances and our spiritual realities. It is the unleashing of our faith on the rebellious circumstances of time, to compel changes to correspond with stubborn faith proclamations.
- Forgive
- To pardon. The record of wrong remains, though the offender will not be punished.
- Ginosko
- Full absolute knowledge which one can only receive by revelation.
- Globalism
- 1. The policy of conceptualizing your influence beyond borders. 2. The principle of establishing your influence beyond the nation-state. 3. The policy of seeing your influence around the world beyond your locality.
- Glory
- 1. That which inspires, causes or produces honour, respect or admiration. 2. The attributes of divinity that brings forth perfections of beauty and excellence. 3. Beauties, excellences, perfections and virtues.
- Godliness
- 1. Piety towards God. 2. An outward demonstration of an inner life.
- Grace
- 1. The divine favour that Jesus brought to us. 2. The glory of God given to you, resident in your spirit and expressed on the outside. 3. All of the beauty of God delivered to your spirit, made evident in your life. 4. The ability of God given to you. 5. The outworking of an inward power. 6. The release of the beauty of God in your life. 7. The promoting power of God.
- Holiness
- A condition of separation unto God.
- Honour
- 1. To show respect to or towards someone. 2. To give recognition. 3. To esteem another. 4. To give preference.
- Hope
- Expectant thoughts of a desired end.
- Humility
- Total submission and subjection to the Word of God.
- Ideology
- 1. An orientation that characterizes the thinking of a nation or a people. 2. A system of beliefs. 3. A train of thoughts and accepted beliefs. 4. A belief principle that guides a society of people in their way of life. 5. A mentality. 6. A way of thinking that controls the choices you make, the things you do and the policies of a society.
- Innovation
- Doing something new or carrying out an existing idea in a new way. A new idea; a new device; a new method.
- Inward Man
- The human spirit and his soul.
- Joy
- That emotion that is evoked by satisfaction, appreciation and pleasure.
- Justice
- The fair and honest application of courage, prudence and temperance to all human relationships.
- Kingdom of God
- That domain or environment in which God almighty (the King) exercises his authority or control.
- Kingdom of heaven
- Kingdom of Christ: that part of the kingdom of God established on the earth by Jesus. It belongs to God.
- Knowledge
- Gift of the Spirit: supernatural knowledge of spiritual or material realities; their functions, and relationship with us; past or present.
- Law
- An imposed rule of restriction.
- Leadership
- The assumption of responsibility for guidance, action or control based upon the burden of superior knowledge or higher information.
- Light
- 1. That which describes. 2. That which makes manifest.
- Love
- That endearing value of a person that gives you a sense of his or her importance to you.
- Meditate
- 1. Study. 2. Imagine. 3. Devise. 4. Mutter. 5. Utter. 6. Growl. 7. Roar.
- Mind
- The faculty of man's reasoning and thoughts. It holds the power of imagination, recognition, and appreciation, and is responsible for processing feelings and emotions, resulting in attitudes and actions.
- Mind Management
- The concept of reorganizing or reprogramming your mind (its contents and processes) with God's word and aligning your thinking, perceptions and mindset about God, other people, the world, and yourself, with His Word.
- Ministry
- In an individual: a continuous, consistent, and spiritually systematic way of serving by the Holy Ghost. E.g. healing ministry, teaching ministry, prophetic ministry, etc.
- Miracle
- The supernatural occurrence or intervention of God that transcends human or logical reasoning.
- Mission
- 1. A cause of pursuit. 2. An objective, operation or project carried out for the purpose of establishing a cause, a way of life. 3. A ministry in a foreign or some designated place.
- Missionary
- 1. One in pursuit of a cause. 2. One who is being given, or is on an objective, operation or project, for the purpose of establishing a cause.
- Mystery
- Secrets that are revealed to the initiated; secrets that are revealed to a certain class; things that are not obvious to the understanding without purposeful revelation.
- Nations
- Derived from the Greek 'ethnos': different groupings of people all over the world.
- Outward Man
- The human body and its five senses.
- Phronesis
- A mindset, fixed mental attitude or disposition that predetermines a person's responses to situations and his interpretations of those situations.
- Power
- Inherent / dynamic ability to cause changes.
- Principle
- 1. A moral rule or belief or assumption that controls, influences or explains personal conduct or behavior of a society. It explains how or why something works or happens the way it does. 2. A basic theory or truth. 3. An idea that forms the basis of anything.
- Prophecy
- Forth telling of the Word by divine inspiration, or forth-telling of divine revelation for the edification, exhortation or comfort of the saints. The revelation could refer to the past, present or future. Apart from edifying the Church, prophetic revelations convict unbelievers and gainsayers.
- Prophesy
- 1. Foretelling - to tell ahead of time, things concerning a person or people, places or things or events in the mind of God. 2. Forth telling - to tell forth; deliver a message, to declare, to speak forth, to tell out, what is in the mind of God; to bring out that which is a mystery or is hidden or is yet unveiled. 3. To speak by divine inspiration: the unction of God's Spirit causing His Word to come out of you without thinking about it. 4. To speak forth divine revelation: bringing forth things that you couldn't have known otherwise.
- Prosperity
- The triumph of the Word of God in your life.
- Psalm
- An inspired Holy-Spirit-given poem.
- Remission
- Of sin: to take away completely, to put away, blot out, separate from.
- Responsibility
- 1. The ability to respond. 2. The ability to see and act.
- Revelation knowledge
- Knowledge from the spirit of God that is imparted to the human spirit without any material medium.
- Rhema
- The active Word from God, to a specific person, for a specific purpose, at a specific time.
- Righteousness
- 1. The nature of God which when imparted to the human spirit, produces the rightness of God in the human spirit. It gives man right standing with God, and the ability to stand in the presence of God without a sense of guilt, inferiority or condemnation. 2. That nature of God that distinguishes Him to be perfect, infallible, inerrant, just and good. God demonstrates his righteousness to man through His Words and acts of love. 3. The judgment of God and rightwiseness of God wrought in your spirit. 4. The nature of God that describes His rightness, perfection and correctness. 5. The nature of God that separates Him from evil. 6. The ability of God to do right. 7. The ability to stand in the presence of God without guilt, a sense of condemnation and condemnation itself, without a sense of inferiority or inferiority. 8. The ability to stand in the presence of God in fellowship.
- Sacrifices
- Things dedicated and offered to a deity.
- Sin
- 1. Anything that is inconsistent with the will, and/or the character and nature of God. 2. Any act or thought that contravenes the righteousness of God. 3. Anything done outside of love and faith.
- Son of God
- God in flesh.
- Sophia
- 1. Analytical wisdom. 2. Insight into reality; all the collective understanding of all things.
- Soul
- The house of the mind, the emotions, and the will.
- Sound coding
- The assignment of meaning, interpretation and communication of sound or the cognitive processes for the creation of language.
- Strongholds
- Mental walls of containment that prevent people from advancing in the things of God.
- Success
- 1. Making the world around you better than you met it. 2. Impacting the world with the investment of your personality. 3. Influencing the world around you to think like you and aspire to your inspiration. 4. The ability to minimize errors.
- Sunesis
- 1. Comprehension; perception, understanding. 2. The ability to understand concepts and see relationships between them. 3. A quickness of apprehension. 4. The penetrating consideration that precedes action.
- Temperance
- Self control: 1. The ability and the will to control your impulses to delay immediate gratification for a long term gain. 2. The ability to wait; to hold on.
- Thoughts
- 1. Pictures of the mind with constructive or destructive possibilities, functioning with or within human emotions. 2. Conscious mental constructions of one's mind based on imaginations, information or stimuli. 3. A stream of images that create meaning. 4. The creation, recalling, reviewing, and processing of images, for meaning, reason, language, and expression.
- Universe
- The collective name for heaven and earth and all of God's creation.
- Unrighteousness
- That which is aside or outside the revelation of God.
- Vision
- 1. The ability to see. 2. The ability to know the future. 3. The imagery of truth.
- Walk of Faith
- 1. Living in the reality of the Word's declaration about us. 2. Living the life of the heavenly city now. 3. Seeing, hearing and talking the life and language of the beloved country - our beautiful life of the beloved country.
- Wisdom
- 1. The accurate insight into reality. 2. The understanding of the deepest things in life. 3. The ability to reason and act right. 4. A guiding and a driving force that leads you. It makes you go where you should go, do what you should do, say what you should say, and have the thoughts you should have. 5. A divine insight into the plans and purposes of God. 6. Understanding of spiritual realities. 7. The insight of knowledge and the controlling power of insight. 8. Insight into reality (truth), foresight into the future that causes one to see what others can't see. There are 3 kinds of wisdom: Sophia, Sunesis, and Phronesis.
- Wisdom (Gift of the Spirit)
- A word or message of divine revelation of the plan and purpose of God, concerning spiritual or earthly things of kingdoms and nations; men, angels or devils; in the past, present or future.
- Word of God
- That message from God that reveals or communicates His works, will, thoughts, plans, purposes and pursuits to bring men into and promote fellowship with Him in love. It is His message of truth with the content and power to build His image into the life of the hearers. Its content is the embodiment of Christ's revelations, provisions, perfections, and instructions. It is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction or training in righteousness.
- Words
- 1. Sensible sounds of our language through which messages are communicated, and can be identified by natives of the same language. 2. Ideas, opinions, purposes and visions articulated. Words are vehicles: they transport or transmit faith or fear, love or hate, life or death. Words are seeds: they produce after their kind. Words are conduits or pipelines for impartation: power can be transported through words. Words are amplifiers: they amplify and reveal thoughts, and they amplify and reveal character.
- Worship
- The recognition and appreciation of the goodness, blessing, kindness, and righteousness of God; the recognition or appreciation of God's character; the confession of God's character.
